About CCATC

Offering assistive technology services that are a specialized and often missing component in the quest to enable individuals with disabilities to live as independently as possible.

Who We Are

The professional occupational therapy staff at CCATC and consultants spread throughout the Tri-counties area specialize in the evaluation and training of assistive technology. Director, Paul J. Mortola, MS, OTR/L, ATP is certified as an Assistive Technology Professional through the RESNA national rehabilitation organization. Mr. Mortola has presented at the CSUN and other national conferences on the protocol and practice of AT loan libraries.

The CCATC has been providing assistive technology service in Central California for the since 1998. CCATC is vendored to provide these services through the California Department of Rehabilitation, Tri-Counties Regional Center and the County of San Luis Obispo. CCATC has accumulated an expansive library and demonstration center full of technology that can positively impact an individual’s life. Coupled with these existing resources the CCATC has created a valuable network of local service providers including The Braille Institute, Independent Living Resource Center, Tri-Counties Regional Center, VTC, Inc. and the California Department of Rehabilitation who together work to serve all individuals with disabilities. Assistive technology services are a specialized and often missing component in the quest to enable individuals with disabilities to live as independently as possible.
